Shoppers-Friend is a labor of love from a father to his daughter. God has gifted my daughter with the ability to organize everything. One day during a visit with my daughter and her seven children, she showed me how she had organized her meal planning. While it was an impressive method, in my mind I thought that there would be an easier way to accomplish the same goal. Even though I have a rather limited background in database design, I have a passion for challenges.

That challenge was the beginning of Shoppers-Friend. We must have tried dozens of different versions when I first started. I even scrapped the idea once or twice and then the idea of giving up just did not feel right to me. So, with much frustration and a lot of determination, I would dig through my many manuals and notes and start all over again. With my daughters vision and encouragement, I finally had the first full working program within the first year. We took the second year and worked out all the bugs and made improvements where possible.

After looking at several of the web sites that offer similar software, I thought that I would like to share this with others who may have the same passion as my daughter. While there are many programs available on the web, I believe that we have come up with a unique design. It is my hope that Shoppers-Friend will be helpul for many who have the desire to be a little more organized.
